Consultation & Services
1. School-based General Consultation
Collaborate with teams in the development of behavior support strategies and support the school teams and families during IEP meetings as needed to review progress, data, assist in developing IEP goals, and supporting the progress monitoring and troubleshooting.
2. School-based Consultation & Direct Services
Design and develop courses/projects including materials, course plans, objectives, outcomes, teaching aids, activities, and evaluation tools. Coach and support teachers, administrators, and para educators in regard to implementation of intervention plans, FAPE, and evidence-based best-practice teaching strategies. Assess the effectiveness of interventions through individualized and precise data collection methods and use visual analysis to create evidence-based suggestions regarding modifying the current interventions or next steps. (e.g. FBA, FBA review, BSP review, BSP development & implementation)
3. Home-based General Consultation
Collaborate with school teams on behalf of families, in the development of behavior support strategies, and support the teams and families during 504 or IEP meetings as needed to review progress, data, and assist in developing appropriate goals. This also includes parent/caregiver training, assessments (i.e. FBA, AFLLS). *Direct services are not provided with the intended client.
4. Home-based Consultation & Direct Services
Provide direct assessments for ABA services with the client in the home, community, school, or other setting appropriate for services to take place. This includes and is not limited to parent/caregiver training, assessments (i.e. FBA, AFLLS). BCBA will directly work with the client on goals that have been developed through the FBA process.
5. Supervision for BCBA, BCaBA, & RBT Candidates
In compliance with the current BACB standards for supervision and experience, supervision includes observations and feedback regarding direct services provided to client, feedback and coaching regarding analysis skills demonstrated in documentation, assessments, and recommendations (i.e. FBAs, BSPs, data collection, VBMAPP), and resources will be provided to enrich current skills and develop additional clinical skills needed in order to provide those we serve with appropriate and evidence-based interventions.
6. Cultural & Behavioral Change Consultation
Provide evidence-based suggestions and support the implementation of those recommendations. Services are intended for those interested in changing workplace behaviors focused on a individual (e.g. increasing timely attendance, increasing productivity), group (e.g. increase more effective and productive collaboration, refine methods used to market to consumers), and system-wide approaches (e.g. health-based initiatives designed to increase staff retention and increase innovation, decreasing workplace violence or mistreatment of colleagues or consumers) to change. Services performed may look like, but are not limited to: training and workshops, creating behavior change strategies for leadership teams and management, interviews on platforms designed for education and the dissemination of information (e.g. conferences, podcasts)
7. General Consultation & Other Services
Provide continuous supervision services to current consumers in addition to making resources available to those who are receiving support (e.g. creating documents, creating structures for documentation, creating structures for processes within large or small systems). Utilize various technologies such as data collection software, indirect methods for obtaining environmental/ethnological information, and creating web-based learning opportunities to provide equal access for families, consumers, and employee-- in addition to assisting in troubleshooting any barriers that occur during and after collaboration.
